Am I gunna hate gutting cats? They are getting gutted tomorrow and my current exhaust setup is stock headers, 2 3/4" Custom Ypipe, and SLP Loudmouth. The main reason why ill be doing this is to get better flow for the S/C. Will I be hating life because of the noise or will I be proud to drive an even louder Fbody?

Are these stock cats?? if not..leave them alone as they probably flow pretty good like Magnaflows or most other aftermarket ones.

I'm guessing you're not going to like the sound of your car with gutted cats and the loudmouth catback. It won't sound as obnoxious as a car with LT's, not cats and the loudmouth, but I can imagine it will be similar.

people who run ORY's/gutted cats on f-bodies are nuts. f-bodies sound like **** without cats. LS1's rasp. it's a fact. no matter what you do you'll see some rasp. even true duals aren't rasp-proof. they even rasp at certain rpm's. f-bodies NEED CATS. do not be cheap. do not bitch over 2hp. your car will sound and smell like **** without cats. my f-body will never see an ORY or gutted cats. why? my f-body will never sound like ***. i won't let it. i love my car too much. treat your car right. put cats on it.
.... LT's and ORY sound great with cutout open...

Sweet I cant wait to get it done tomorrow! Does anybody know the part from jegs you get that attaches to the 02's and confuses the computer that there are still cats?

On stock manifolds, it just sounds like complete ****, i did that and hated every second of it.. Just buy Longtubes ..
Ya know it may be 2hp increase or whatever .. but it sounds alot better imo

Only you can decide if you're going to like how your car sounds. Some people actually like ORY/LM setups, while most think it sounds like rolling death.
