Ive used the search system on ways to install it.....

Im practially beating the thing onto the hub and its almost there..I've used the heat and 2x4 method..i've got about 1/4" to go till its seated. it doesnt want to budge anymore.....what so I do next?

I used a big pulley to remove mine, and to seat it back on I carefullly used the new bolt that was supplied and just torqued it back on there until I reached a 150lbs. Please no more beating. You're gonna mess something up.

Put a bolt in it and tighten the thing!

I'm glad you didn't try an impact, that's how you break or mess up the threads in the end of the crank, then you're SOL. Torque it with the biggest torque wrench you can get your hands on, it should go on, may take a while, but patience...

He said he was within 1/4" of having the pulley on so there should be plenty of thread contact. FWIW I have a bolt longer than stock to draw the pulley on when I don't have enough contact with the OEM bolt. Just my opinion.

pull the bolt and check the threads before you go any farther....trust me, you dont want to mess anything up. A 15 minute pulley install turned into a 2 day deal for me. I had to get a longer crank bolt, and an M16x2.0 tap....Not a lot of fun. I ended up putting the pulley in the oven @ 225 degrees for 30 minutes, use the longer crank bolt, and it slipped right on; not a problem after that

the proper way to do, i think after messing up the inside of my 4" callies crank ones is to do it with a piece of allthread rod mx16x2.0.. i cant remember i cut to, but i picked it up and a local vendor that sells metric rod and it works great. you thread the piece of rod into the the crank slide the pulley on and using washer and a a nut start tighteing it down and let me tell you it the easiest thing to do now. im never going to install it different as i learned the hard way.. learn from my experience i think i bout the 3ft piece of rod and all the washers and nut for like $20.. i suggest to do this.
