Belt Is Impossible To Get On????
I Have An 01 Ss With A D1sc Kit And I Recently Snapped My Supercharger Belt On The Way Home From Work. I Bought A New One And Attempted To Put It On But It Was So Tight I Had To Bump The Engine Over But It Was Tearing The Belt Apart. I Just Got Two More Belts And Am Going To Try Something Else Today. Could It Be Possible That The Crank Pulley From The Ati Balancer Set Is The
Wrong Size. "bob @ Epp" I Could Really Use Your Help. I Am Getting Really Discouraged With This Kit. If Procharger Installed An
Adjustable Tensioner Pulley Then Why Don't They Make The Belt A Little Bigger So We Can Use The Tensioner. If Anyone Else Has The Same Problem Or And Solutions Please Let Me Know....thanks.
P.s. I Tried To Find A Larger Belt But They Don't Make One, I Would Have To Get It Custom Made....thanks.

Pretty normal from what I've seen on my car (& heard form others). If you buy a belt that is long enough to fit easily, it is usually too long to get tight enough. I had to remove my crank pulley the 1st time. And Gates makes them in incrementally larger sizes (like every 1/2").

I Have The Stock D1sc Pulley On The Procharger, I Think It's 4.75" Maybe, So You Had To Removed Your Pulley And Then Put The Belt On And Force The Pulley Back On???

im having the same issue. and have been told just to turn the motor over. i dont think so its already in the process of making the streching noises not even half way close to being on
i too would like info to the correct belt part number for my setup. and i just got the kit. i dont think i should have to be the one to cover for the correct belt

Not trying to be a jerk here but are you sure you loosened the tensioner pulley all the way. So it will fully slide to the top of the slot?
My last belt was a 25-080400 (400) with a 7-5/8 crank pulley and it worked with either a 3.4 or 3.7 blower pulley. If that will help with size issues.

Here is the napa # for the next size up....2508415 which is 42.06'' long.
If this helps.. Might have to measure what you need and try and plug in differant sizes on there web site to see what falls in the range.

i know your not going to like this reply, but the only way Ive found to properly put a belt on is to unbolt the supercharger from the bracket, it takes about four times longer than it would if the damn belt went on the way we think it should, but you wont tear up any belts

I finally got around belt sizes that defy certain pulley swaps by lengthening the slot in the bracket each way a little more. I am able to slip on a belt for almost every pulley size I've cared to use, now.

Working with the Best Combo on my custom Spring 8 rib setup I made..
I've gone with these belts sizes..
25-080384
25-080392
25-080400
25-080408
25-080415
These part numbers are all correct above through Napa.. Car Quest uses a K instead of a 25 so it would be
K-080384
K-080392
K-080400
K-080408
K-080415
And so on...
Each belt is about a .75" difference. I'm running a 25-080392 with my custom 8" Crank and custom 3.2" Blower pulley. Spinning the hell out of my blower..
Good luck..
