Default Thinking about Moving to Houston

Lease is up in October. I've lived in CO almost my entire life. I want out of the Cold. I went to Houston almost 5 years ago, it wasn't too bad.

I'm currently a computer Tech (right now working for a support desk) but would rather something more hands on, technical and challenging than the general 'how do I turn on my computer'. Field tech, data center environment would be cool...hours don't matter, traveling isn't a problem either.

I'd be moving with a couple of buddies. One is an electronics geek, the other has certs running out of his *** with most of his experience in telco (fiber specifically).

Besides Houston we're also looking into Las Vegas and Seattle.

Any thoughts, recommendations, etc. would be greatly appreciated. BTW, there was talk of Corpus Christi.

Thanks!!!

Well if you want out of the cold you could probably count seattle out. I just moved to Houston a week ago. I like it here, it's warm and there is plenty to do here. I lived in Corpus most of my life and it's nice but besides the beach there isn't a ton of stuff to do. It seems that there is always somethin goin' on in the city.

How dare you compare us to Seattle! That city sucks, and its always raining there. Highest suicide rate in the country also.

If you can get bored in Houston, it means you truly have no life

Corpus is to small with no action and job market is not to promising. Houston has some of the sickest LS1's, what more can I say.

I know TX has some of the baddest LSx cars. Also seems to have some of the baddest door cars period. Not sure if I'm taking my Nova with me. Believe it may be sold here soon.

Sounds like Houston is in the running. Should make a decision here soon.

Last night a friend of mine Suggested College Station. Looking at Monster, there doesn't seem to be as much available.

Thanks for the info guys....any more suggestions?
