what soudns better: X Pipe or H Pipe

What c/b to go with? i can maybe cut up the gmmg.

general rule of thumb is H-pipe for very bassy, grumbly, old school muscle car sound. an x-pipe is for racy, exotic sound. x-pipe usually gives better performance due to better scavenging.

x-pipes are usually ran on f-bodies. i guess it's easier to setup.

FWIW, mustangs sound great with H-pipes and lose that sound with X-pipes so there is a difference. not saying f-bodies sound bad with x-pipes. take your pick. wanna be deep and muscular or exotic and racy?

As Choco said, most people with F-bodies will run an X-pipe, due to the supposed better scavenging effect on the exhaust. H-pipes do sound great though. So who knows? Maybe be different and try an H.

to get your exhaust to exit out the rear with true duals will be very expenisve.

X pipes produce better dyno results, H pipes are considered a better sound.. if you are lowered, you are going to scrap on everything

You could sell the GMMG and then have enough to buy the TSP true duals and probably still have some money left over.

Sell GMMG, buy TSP duals, then have exhaust place run them under the axle and out the back with the tips of your choice. You could probably get $600 for the GMMG, that leaves $200 for tips and a little piping fabrication. I spent $130 to have my pipes ran out, but I provided the tips. They also welded some cats in for me (included in that price).
