Default Roof paint recall

I did some searches found a few links but they were dead. The black paint is bubbling and chipping on my 98 hardtop. I got this fixed for free on my last ws6 as a recall. Anyone know if it will also cover the hardtops?

How long ago did you get your ws6 done for free as a recall? my 01 ws6 is starting to bubble and i would like to know if they would still do it as a recall.

Its not a recall its a TSB, there is a difference. GM is cheap, GM does not want to pay for their ****-ups. Dealers that will acually help you out are few and far betwene.

Mine 01 WS6 is also bubbling on the top by T-tops. I keep mine in a garage and only have 27000 miles on her. Went to the dealer and basically was told tuff ****-out of warranty. Looks like **** on a black car!! I guess you get what you get!!

you sure it was a recall and not a bulliten....big difference there

In my line of work

recall = safety related and warrantied lifetime

bulliten = known problem but will be fixed under warranty somwtimes get warranty extensions, otherwise if not under warranty it will be customer out of pocket pay

My car is at the body shop getting fixed by GM for free right now. Car went in to be fixed with 64,XXX miles on it. Its an 00 with no warranty. Gotta call GM and get lucky talking to a helpful rep, then get it deemed defective at dealer and go thruogh all the bearocratic BS at GM. HOWEVER you have to be the original owner of the car. SO Wildbill you are pretty much SOL.

Ernie Guzman replaced my roof sail on my 00 T/A.
I had a copy of the TSB they did not even wanna look at it.
They are well aware of the problem.
I had to pay a 100.00 deductible.

I would say call the pontiac customer assistance center and bitch, but seeing as how they have outsourced the centers to the phillipines and argentina, I doubt you'll get anywhere.
