should i get a cutout? need your insights
just ordered some pacesetter longtube headers and y pipe and im wondering if i should order a cutout while i am at it. How much more power will it add? and where do they usually place the cutout for optimal gains?

Well it depends on how restrictive your catback is .. i gained 13 rwhp/ 17rwtq over my flowmaster when i had it ,now i have a magnaflow... And i dont even have a cam,if i did , id probably see more gains..
I have mine in the I pipe , before it bends up over the axle..with an QTP hooked up to it ..
Its gonna be loud.. youll probably like it .. esp at WOT

I have a QTP electric one. I put it right before the I-pipe goes over the axle. I gained 6rwhp over my Hooker catback, but this was on a diff day. The torque remained the same though. I love the electric cutout, it's so awesome to be able to flip a switch and change the way the car sounds in a BIG way.

i recently purchased the 3" QTEQ cut-out and i love it. i still have the stock exhaust besides my flowmaster, and i highly reccomend it. i put mine as close to the Y pipe as i could. i think it sounds a little better that way, but just be careful that it does not hang too low. sometimes mine scrapes on speed-bumps. it doesnt mess anything up, but i feel like a douche every time it happens

Like said above..you will like it...put it in the I - Pipe under the rear passenger seat..look..you will see a small indentation there..it is very visible..looks like it was meant for it..gives the cutout some room so it does not stick down so much..if u can afford it, get an electric one unless you don't have to worry about coppers. [ BTW..I have Edelbrock Race/ORY/Cutout/5 year old Flowmaster....and it's pretty damn loud...like 2-3 blocks loud when on it. ] My neighbours really like me.
