Whisper. Got mine about mid-2004. Needed a small 1/4" piece of weatherstripping across the back, but that's it.

TSP Smoke Clear that I will be replacing with an SLP soon. I'll probably put the TSP lid up for sale. I'm getting new FRC's painted and I want the intake to be painted the same color and don't want to paint the TSP so I got an SLP a couple of weeks ago.

MTI clear lid. Looks nice, but horrible fit, horrible product. My lid came in messed up. Company would not stand by their product and admit my lid could have fitment issues. Said they all come from same mold so I am wrong and it cannot be the lid, they would not replace it, unless I paid for shipping both ways. I tried using a hair dryer and tightening the clamps to help seal it at the neck, no good. Save the money and go with someone else. If I had a digital cam, I would post the pics of how bad it was warped. I could have dealt with the issue, but the arrogance and ignorance of the company was horrible. I would not buy anything from MTI again... sorry for the rant, just trying to save fellow drivers the same hassle

SLP. Saw an article in GMHTP that said it has the best fit and finish. I've had no problems with mine.

I have a Whisper Lid on the car but I got a G2 ready to go on soon. (Upgrading all parts of the induction chain with larger diameter openings)

I have the SuckLP. I might be going FI in the near future, so it will not be a problem much longer.

I have the MTI Clear, and while I admit the fitment is not perfect, it has never caused me any real problems.

SLP Lid here. Perfect fit, no fitment issues, and no rubbing under the hood.

If I had a lid as bad as you claim it to be, I would send it back and do a charge back on my card. The guys at Mti seem to usually step up and help a customer out.Especially over a $100 lid. If you truley tried to resolve the issue you should post in the sponser feedback section and show pics of the lid. If everything happened like you say, I can almost guarantee that someone will step up and take care of the problem. They could send you another lid with a return/calltag box to send the other one back. If not, like I said, they'd get the lid back and I'd do a charge back on my card.

Here's my lid story;
I bought a blemished Mti clear lid over 4 years ago. Mti had them on sale for $75 and only had a few. When I got it I thought it was a mistake. I couldn't find a single issue with it. I think my lid looks better than alot of people who got brand new ones. Anyway I've been totally happy with mine.
