Default Install pic of threaded IAT sensor in EGR hole and 4" MAF.

I was surprised that both went in easy. Time to retune.

Looks Killer, I think i'll drill and tap my intake for my threaded IAT sensor too. Best place for a IAT reading i'd think.

Don't have to worry about it blowing out under high boost that way.....can't wait to get my alky kit to try out.

Wont the alky coming in through the TB affect the readings of that? The IAT would come in direct contact with the mist.

That's why I relocated the IAT to the intake. I WANT the alky to hit the sensor....that way I can tune the timing vs IAT table to pull timing if the alky kit fails....if the alky is flowing = cool air = more timing = more power. If the alky kit fails = hot air = less timing = saved engine.

That is a freakin awesome setup. Where'd you get the threaded IAT though? I was wondering how the F I was going to pick up IAT on my setup.

Sensor is a GM# 25036751 for $38 through GM (for a 1991 Syclone). 3/8" 18npt.

Adapter is a LPE map sensor relocator for c6 vettes...the map sensor hole has to be enlarged on a drill press and tapped for 3/8 18npt for the IAT sensor. LPE # LN-BK28kit for $67

Then it just presses in the egr hole (has a oring seal) and the the retainer screws into the existing screw hole for the egr.

Ok, I see what your goin for there, but wont the iat temps be incorrect if that gets wet. (Im thinking along the lines of blowing on a wet finger, then a dry finger. notice the diff.) The air temp would be the same but the wet sensor I would think would read colder than the air actually is.
Or does that not matter... As long as the timing is correct for what the IAT sensor reads I guess it'd be fine.
Very cool concept, I like how it sounds... Use the PCM to make sure you dont blow your modded motor if/when the meth fails.

$100 to fit the IAT sensor there? There has to be another similar way that isn't so expensive.

Well this work for non Force Induction?.. Will moving the IAT To the EGR Port cause any bad or drivablity problems.

Thanks

If the material is thick enough at the egr location, you could....FAST was not.

It would work but not be optimal due to heat soak from the manifold. I'd want the IAT sensor close to the airfilter for NA.

Do instructions come with the Lingenfelter piece as to what size hole to drill in the manifold? Also, could you shoot a picture with the throttle body open to see how far in the IAT sensor sticks? I'd appreciate it...
