Default What kind of power out of stock LS1 shortblock

I am looking to put heads and cam on my LS1 GTO. I already have headers, and a really good flowing catback. With the addition of a FSAT 90, 90 setup. What kind of power can I get out of my stock bottom end. I am not sure of which heads, and cam yet. But do not want to break open the stock short block. Can I get 450, or 500 at the flywheel?

Should be able to get the numbers you are looking for, just be careful with the revs. The stock rod bolts and timing chain will not like anything above 7 grand er so. I put in ARP rodbolts and a GMPP timing chain and spin it to 7800 now.

Good luck, Tom

As part of the cam kit, I will be changing the stock out pupm and chain.

ppd, Dudley Mass? I live in RI. I may have to see this car you've got. that mod list is a bit big. The picture is a bit cramped, I am going to have to say Corvette.
