The other day I had tightened the pulley bolt down as hard as I could. SO tight I was worried I'd never be able to get it back off. Well, turns out I was right....about that part anyway. I started it up the other night & everything sounded fine. Today I took it out for a short test drive, and well, suffice to say all was NOT well. :bang:

So back in the garage & up on the jack stands it went, and I tried (in vain) to get that bolt off to take a look (cuz it was loose again). Well, it's on there!!! I popped the blower off & used the impact on it & it just laughed at me. :eyes:

Oh, and when I pulled the outlet hose off, I found some s/c oil with metallic stuff in it. Being an FI newbie, I don't have much experience, but I take that to be a BAD sign! And I'm blaming YOU ej..... :judge:

Where's that Tequila bottle..... :chug:

Hopefully it's nothing too bad... And I finished the 1800 on the lake at 2 am last night w/ a few naked girls. :hump: Sorry... (not really) :)

:(

Think you'll have it ready for 7/5?

I'm going to be lucky to have my box together by the 15th.

Um, not likely. If it's as bad as I think, the 15th might be optomistic. I'll know tomorrow when the Dr looks at it. So much for paying off the Visa with that bonus...

Sorry to hear this Mark, but I truly feel your pain. I had my car about 90% finished and went to start it up. Have to push clutch in to get starter to work. Well clutch went to floor and fluid all over the drive way. :bang: So, tonight, I pulled the rear cradle and 3rd memeber/trans/torque tube out again. Which for those that know, this is a big job, but I am getting pretty good at it. I broke the clutch actuator on install. :bang: So, I am also now not sure when I'll be done, was hoping this weekend I would be racing...
I hope it's nothing serious on your car though. :(

Ahhh man, I didnt really want something to be wrong. Im going to have a tough time catching you as it is. You get an upgrade and I will really have my work cut out for me. I do hope its nothing serious though. Would suck to have something like that happen right dead in the middle racing season.

No worries guys, it's all part of this game we play. I mean the timing SUCKS for sure, but what ya gonna do? It's the price of having a fast car.....or should I say LOUD car. If it was quiet I probably would have heard it before it got this bad. And if was was just the bolt, I might be able to recover from it.

But I'm guessing the metallic oil coming out the front means it needs some love. The question is now what to do about the race Wed? If I hadn't sold my lid to Zeke I'd convert it back to NA & race it that way. Who knew? :(

"The Belly" is much nicer than saying "Step aside boy, you ain't got enough ass to move that!" I'll try to update/cleanse my vocabulary :jest:

Sorry to hear the news, Mark. Maybe we'll both have our shit done by end of season. I need a low 13 in the H2 to post up for the long winter!

The good news is, the s/c head unit "seems to be OK", bad news is the bolt broke off in the s/c shaft. So it must go back to ATI for some love. How much love depends on something I am lurking over, and what ATI says tomorrow morning. Suffice to say, one way or the other, the red car will be getting D-upgrade (at least). And I will be racing NA tomorrow afternoon. Back into the 12s I go..... :eyes:

It will all be better Mark ;) We knew we were pushing the P11 near its limits. now we have a chance to step up to a bigger unit(F-1 if they can ) and turn it alot slower and extend the life alot more ;)

BTW the scales said the car is 3Lbs heavier now  oh well it sure looks cooler ;)
