Default BETTER combo with a Vig 3200 stall a 224/224 or a 231/237?

What Comp Cam makes a better combo with a Vig 3200 stall a 224/224 or a 231/237?
I want something that will add more power and at the same time be able to be used on the highway for a little roll racing.

I am ready to go ahead and get a cam package. I feel the need to put more power in the car since it is need of some.
I have been doing a search for the proper cam and converter set up for a while now and since I only drive my car on the weekends I guess I want a little more power than what a 224 comp cam offers. Or do you guys think other wise? What else do you recommend that would be more efficient and give me some decent power, acceleration and work good with Headers, Exhaust bolt ons, pulley, FLT stage 3 tranny and Vigilante 3200 stall.

Let me know what you guys think.

Thank You Much

Robert

Probably either one. I would say that the 231/237 might be pushing it, but that is just me.

Either, none or both

Depends how extreme you want to go. Roll racing often requires better mid/low end torque but if you plan to run to high speeds then you'd probably want good top end power.

How ever more extreme cams then to be less friendly down low and sometimes even sluggish until they come "on cam". You'd also want more than a 3200rpm stall

Are you looking at a custom grind or off the shelf, what sort of lift and LSA are you looing at.

Personally I prefer WILD over MILD setups, but I'm prepared to wiat and get all the supporting parts I'll need as well as being prepared that driveability will suffer.

What final drive ratio are you running?

In general VIG stalls ~ 3600 on stock cubes, I used mine with a 232/234 and no issues, come to think about it, I still use it in my 370 cube. but now it stalls closer to 3800 and shift extensions around 5K, Hehehe

I have 3.73 gears BTW

why not try a 224/228 setup with a 110 LSA(110+2 if you want to peak sooner and slightly higher compression). That would be a nice "torquey" cam for you and you have the supporting mods. Thas my opinion

the 231/237 would be my pick out of those 2.
the 224 only needs about a 2,800 stall in a 5.6L.

I would suggest something a little smaller on the exhaust side.
