Default H/C comming soon, have a few questions.

Yesterday I met someone who ran a performance shop a few years ago. He said that he has a set of stage 2 heads "fully worked over" and complete for $800. and a few cams to choose from. They have 3-5k miles on them.

My first question; is this a good price for assembled stage 2 heads.

My goal is 425 rwhp or more, with a lot of mid range power. I have 02 Z, M6, Lts, Lid, cat-y, and cat back, must remain streetable. Will the tr224 112lsa get me there? Would a 228/232 112 comp cam give me a bit more power?

Thanks,
Jason

$800 is a good price if they flow well. There are a good number of shops in Houston that will flow them for a fair price. You really need to check them before you pay for them.

The TR 224/224 112LSA cam should get you to your goal if you have all the supporting bolt-ons, but the 228/232 112 cam would be at least 5 rwhp better.

Thanks for your input. I am torn on my cam choice. I hear so many guys say that they wish they went with a larger cam. I guess it will be a good first cam.
