Default Any LT1 guys with SYA bars out there????

Question for madman or any other LT1 running SYA bars.. I have a BMR torque arm which AFAIK is a requirement to run these bars (aftermarket k-mbr)..... Well I've run into a definite fitment problem.... The drivers side motor mount on the k-member is a welded pedestal mount to attach to the drivers side.... Well the passengers side SYA bar fits fine with the included hose clamp however the drivers side although it fits, there is absolutely NO way to get a hose clamp up and over the motor mount without it looking completely screwed up and hacked together..... the only other option would be to somehow drill a slot in the pedestal mount itself for the hose clamp to go through and wrap around the k-mbr main tube.... but i'm not about to weaken the motor mount structure to attach the SYA bar..... i included a pic of the bmr k-mbr so you can see what I mean.....

I could have certainly used them a few times. Ben Moore told me he had them on his LT1 Camaro.

I was looking thru search and noticed that the early models look like the drivers side used what looks like a bolt on the bottom securing it to the k-member..... i might end up having to drill a small hole and using a sheetmetal screw..... just as long as it won't weaken the k-member.....

mine are on and they fit perfect other than being able to secure the drivers side to the k-mbr.... it's secured in the back..... definitely going to get their use soon....

On that style k-member I have had to drill two 1/8" holes and used aluminum pop rivets.

I just ordered a set a few minutes ago. I think it is a good investment to spend $100 to save a 15k engine.
