I am leaning towards Big Stuff 3. But I just wanted some opinions. I know you have to start from scratch with BS3. Can you do 3 bar SD tuning w/ BS3? How hard is is to tune with BS3? Any advice is helpful

Besides the almost three times cost difference?

You get what you pay for. A stand alone computer system.. If your serious.. BS3 is the way to go. I can then control 96# injectors. and much much more.. Can you do SD tuning?

I had the BS3 setup for my turbo build. When I caught wind of the real time and auto tune ability coming to the HPTuners camp, I jumped ship. I sold the BS3 and bought the HPTuners software. $2000 cheaper. You do get what you pay for. Its up to you and your goals.

i like the bs3 becuz it will also control my 4l80e, and allow me to tune the car and turbo project i have im mind. The stock pcm has and will pull its weight well, but i like a few off the features with the bs3 for my taste and the price really isnt that bad...

Well that is the trade off I guess... I can pay someone to tune it SD or learn myself... but I am a budget turbo guy (If there is such a thing) and save money where I can and where it makes sense. 83lb Injectors and a 3 Bar SD tune... is my choice, you asked for feedback. I have seen the interface in person and watched it be programmed... I think it is pretty intuitive for the programming; the hard part is truly understanding and knowing what and why you are doing it. IMHO.

Yea.. I'm not 100% sure if BS3 is the way to go yet either..

simple as this..I was able to tune a twin turbo Camaro with over 1000RWHP on the STOCK PCM
with HP Tuners......
and if you do the 2/3 bar SD enhancement you get a higher resolution VE table and a boost AFR control..
not to mention all the cool stuff that you can do with the stock PCM that people just dont ever deal with cause they are too afraid

I believe he has a 98 and he's planning on boosting more then 15psi which is what is holding him back in his decision.

Is there anyway to get around this with HPTuners? I have a 98 Formula. 391 LS2 w/ T88 and def plan on going above 15psi.

jut use the HP Tuners 2 bar file and a 3 bar sensor.....
the resolution is teh same ...mght just take some finageling of of boost AFR parameters...but it will work still
