If it is a stock rim, just stick with the stock size... 245/50/16. Some guys do 255/50/16, but you will never know the difference, and some tires that are larger for their numerical size can actually reduce traction because they will bugle out in the middle when properly inflated which will cause the car to ride on the center 1/3 of the tread....not a good thing, it will display the sumptoms of overinflation. Hence, stick with 245/50/16

yeah 245/50/16 is my stock size also.

nice z28 man.

honestly tho, I understand the "you get what you pay for"

but I'm not into the whole 200 bucks price tag on a goodyear eagle, I was thinking bf goodrich g-force t/a sports... only going like 135 a tire and i hear good things..

900ish installed for some tires is > me, i think

My car came with the 235/55/16's too... Eagle GA, speed limiter, and steel drive shaft. The tires and wheels have been replaced....the speed limiter is a thing of the past, the steel drive shaft is still there.

Eventhough your car came with 235's which measure 16.1" in height, you can still run 245/50/16's which run 25.6"...it's close enough. I had the 255/50/16 on mine because they were the same height,...26.1"....but then I switched over to 275/40/17's which are closer to 25.6" and never had a problem with the speedo.

So go ahead and get the 245's....the GS-D3 is a very good suggestion and a great all around tire. Personally, I will go with the BFG Geforce KD after the Yokos are dead, I need more traction without going all out, plus...the Nittos are just too skinny looking...even the 315 version
