Question Will the cowl hood help my aerodynamics ?

Will the cowl hood help my aerodynamics ?any gains?or i should just get the stock style fg hood?

I thought about this but probly not but the cowl fires a lot of cool air into the engine bay area while moving forward which can't hurt I guess plus it must let a lot of heat out while not moving.

hmmm i mean is there anybody who changed the hood to a lighter fg cowl one and saw any gain??

I personally don't have the answer to this in a drag racing scenario, but after reading a hot rod article a few years ago they removed the cowl section from their salt flat car and gained the equivalent of 27 drag hp they were losing through the cowl.

How much this applies to the 1320 though is anybody's guess. Im going with a flat fiberglass hood myself.
