try Lynn at hoppy28@bellsouth.net. Tell him the guy with the LS1 in a lotus 7 sent you. He is not the cheapest, but you will get a complete setup and great after sales support + warranty.

Try these guys,

Good guys to deal with and usually have very low mileage engines.

check local dealerships. sometimes they'll rip an engine out of a vehicle that was damaged but can be fixed easily and will sell it to you for cheap.

im getting a complete LS2 longblock for a good price :)

Yes, Billy Graham is a nice guy.

These guys are also nice:

International Auto wrecking. ask for Jack

http://www.internationalautowrecking.com/

They sold me the engine, trans and let me take everything else I wanted from the car (I took the fuel tank, fuel lines, full exhaust, shifter, clutch pedals, fans, radiator, AC parts, intake assy, battery cables, thottle cable, hoses, smog stuff, etc.

great guys, I will buy from them again

Another vote for Mark at HP Salvage in San Antonio, TX.

He has both plus T56 transmissions. Honest guy who sells quality engines and parts. If a part is bad on a wreck he replaces it before selling it so you are not stuck with "as is" parts.

Plus he palletizes and crates the engine himself, shipping is not an issue. It will get to you in good condition.

I got my setup from American Camaro & Firebird in OK City - www.americancamaro.com - Lynette and Gary are AWESOME, and they were several hundred less than anyone else I researched.

Mark is always my first choice as well. He is straight-shooter and honest as the day is long. I will only go to SPS if Mark does not have what I want.
It helps that he is less than 60 miles from me. I waited for 6 months for Mark to find me a LS2, but finally had to go elsewhere. SPS just has more selection.

Are you still looking for an LS1? What about and LS1 (complete) with factory tranny with a B&M ripper-shifter, Procharged with twin intercoolers. Less than 18,000 miles on engine, from an '98? Got mine, but it is too fat for my application.

JeffThanks. I'm still looking but that combo is a bit much for what I want. I want a daily driver not a weekend warrior. Thanks anyways though. :)

I have a complete 5.3/4l60e iron block combo from an 04 tahoe. Motor/trans/ecm/harness, etc here in Pensacola with a shade over 8,000 miles on it. Trying to get at least $2k for it if you want to come get it. I'll help with delivery within a few hundred miles(just pay my fuel cost) I bought it to procharge it(thats why the iron block) but really want to do a 6.0 instead with a good dose of spray and my turbo 350. This stuff needs to go so I can make room.

Are there any reliable yards people have used in the northeast? NJ, PA, etc.

I got burned on my last long-distance junkyard motor transaction, not eager to have that happen again.
