Default Two turbo 400 questions?

One: How much transmission fluid are you guys with th400s, deep aluminum pans, 9.5"ish converters, and tranny coolers running?

Two: My th400 from transking has a transbreak. It is not wired at the moment. I've currently got 7 quarts of fluid in my setup but my dip stick isn't worth a damn cause I had to bend it up quite a bit to fit and it doesn't read right. Is it possible that not having the trans break wired is causing the trans to not move when reverse is selected or does 7 quarts sound low. Was going to call transking tomorow to verify.

Thanks.

Yeah you have to have the car in neutral ( or reverse depending on manufacturere) and hit the trans brake to make it reverse. The trans brake causes first and reverse to be selected at the same time...

Not all Transbrakes work that way but alot do.
I have a Rossler TH400 RMVB with TB and I don't have the brake hooked up but reverse works just fine.
I bet if you hook up the Tbrake and engage it when you select reverse it will work.

Eastside told me the hughes unit I have takes about 10 quarts I do believe.. don't ask me what size the converter is tho... give transking a call, ask them. I'm sure they can tell you how much fluid is supposed to be in it. Mine as well inquire about the transbrake question too.

The TH400 itself holds 6 quarts. Then you add for the deep pan, converter and cooler, so 10 quarts sounds about right. I would buy a new dipstick and be sure...
