i am supposed to get my windows tinted tomorrow but after looking at my car's windows i noticed alot of streaking that almost look like scratches and was wondering how often these will go bad and if it is a very common problem(if most cars have it happen). A quick response on whether i should bail out on the tint for now or not would be appreciated.......a write up on how to fix it would be nice too. THanks guys

go to a GM dealer and buy the felt pad, its on a piece that you simply bolt on in the place of the old one. Very simply fix....only about $10 I think is what mine was if I can remember.

If you dont fix it first it will just tear up the tint. So yes change it before you get your windows tinted. Its simple to swap out. Use a marker or something to trace around the old and try to put the new in the same spot. That way your window will follow the track correctly. I replaced all 4 when I did mine. I figured if that one broke then the other 3 weren't to far behind. I paid under $5 a piece for them.
