Default a/c doesnt blow any air after cam installation?

I did a cam swap/LS6 heads and i didnt remove the a/c or anything, why does it not blow any air? I have a torquer V2 112+2 is it true it might not being able to pull enough vacuum b/c of the bigger cam??

well the blower works its stuck in defrost mod i think the switch is bad, and defrost is the default mode or something according to CRAGER.

theres a vacuum hose junction right by the pcm and ac hoses under the hood. take a look at it. and make sure the hose going to your map sensor is connected

yep. cause the vacuum operates the doors for the vents without a vacuum pull the doors will stay shut and all your air will come from the defrost vent. and the reason i say map sensor. is cause you had the top of the motor off and its common to leave that hose loose or accidently unhook it at the junction. not hard to do.

It's either the connection at the back of the intake (this would be my guess), or at the Tee by the PCM. That cam makes plenty of vacuum to operate the blower doors.

Definitely - I run a MUCH larger cam and have plenty of vacuum.. LOTS of people forget/miss that line when they put the car back together too

Look everyone is telling you what the most likely cause is and I agree it is that vacum line I will bet money on it you are missing it somewhere Travis. The A/C controller is a guess from you, but look at what you just messed with and you will have to agree it would be a fluke if it acctually went out at that exact moment also? Good luck! I'll take a look at it if you can't find it.

You're saying you "believe" that line is for "engine control" yet there's several folks here who *know 100%* EXACTLY where that line goes.. Go back over the posts in here -- that line runs from the intake, to a vacuum tee, small inline filter, and ultimately inside the car to the A/C controls. Without a steady supply of vacuum, you're stuck in defrost. Check all the vacuum lines and connections (there's not too many) and you'll find one broken/disconnected.

I have the same problem. For the line starting from the back of the intake, do you have to unbolt the intake and tear it apart to get to it? Or can this all be done with engine intact?

EDIT: I ordered the tubing I needed and found out where I am going to have to install it. I just can not see behind the intake so I do not know if I will be able to reach it with no problems. Another thing, could this vacuum leak be causing performance issues such as the engine bogging bad for about 5 minutes from start?

move your ac switch to one of the no-ac postions and see if the compressor cuts off like its supposed to. if it cuts off, and you dont hear a massive vacuum leak IN the car, it IS the vacuum manifold's vacuum source. its at the back of the manifold and easily forgotten.
