Look everyone is telling you what the most likely cause is and I agree it is that vacum line I will bet money on it you are missing it somewhere Travis. The A/C controller is a guess from you, but look at what you just messed with and you will have to agree it would be a fluke if it acctually went out at that exact moment also? Good luck! I'll take a look at it if you can't find it.

You're saying you "believe" that line is for "engine control" yet there's several folks here who *know 100%* EXACTLY where that line goes.. Go back over the posts in here -- that line runs from the intake, to a vacuum tee, small inline filter, and ultimately inside the car to the A/C controls. Without a steady supply of vacuum, you're stuck in defrost. Check all the vacuum lines and connections (there's not too many) and you'll find one broken/disconnected.

I have the same problem. For the line starting from the back of the intake, do you have to unbolt the intake and tear it apart to get to it? Or can this all be done with engine intact?
EDIT: I ordered the tubing I needed and found out where I am going to have to install it. I just can not see behind the intake so I do not know if I will be able to reach it with no problems. Another thing, could this vacuum leak be causing performance issues such as the engine bogging bad for about 5 minutes from start?
