Default hood shocks ?

hey any body out there run into a problem with fiberglass hoods. The stock lifts are to tight. I was just going to build a prop rod (but if any one has some sugg.) those lifts would look alot better!

Right now, I'm using the old stock ones. You can either look for some used ones that don't have a lot of pressure like brand new ones do, or do something like a guy did in that thread. I've seen aftermarket fiberglass hood struts, but I don't recall seeing them for 4th gen F-bodies. But I can't say I've looked very hard yet.

I made a bad mistake on mine. The guy I bought it from said to only use 1 hood shock since they're so strong....so I took my drivers side shock off. Now the hood near my headlight on the passengerside is warped pretty bad and it looks ilke my hood is open from the side

I only use 1 strut on my hood. Its been that way for about 2 years with no issues yet.
