Cool Truck Oil filter ???

Is it PF61 from AC Delco ????
Thats what I bought but I want to make sure it is....

.... i used to use a van style for my 84 camaro oil seemed to stay cleaner longer. why not use it if its the same thread/ daimeter etc. who cares if it says its for ls1 or not if its only difference is how long it is.

The biggest/longest one you can find will generally work better in your favor. You just have to make sure you don't leave it on a speed bump.

the PF61 is fine...i run that on my car...no clearance issues and i just dump all 6 quarts in instead of 5.5 or 5.75 or whatever it's supposed to be with the smaller filter

I run the K&N 2006 which is the truck filter, no problems from it and I noticed a boost in pressure over the crappy Frams I used to run. The oilfilter is the first thing the oil hits after the pump, so a larger one will offer more flow and help boost the pressure for the rest of the stuff on down the line.

If you are hitting the longer oil filter on a speed bump then you will hit the oil pan on it as well. You're screwed if that happens regardless

yeah the filter only hangs like .5" lower than the oil pan

Yeah, you'll hit other things before you hit that, like the kmember.
