Default Houston peeps inside

So I was born at Sheppard AFB in Witchata Falls (sp?). Been living in Indiana since 1994.
Been thinking about moving back to TX in a few years to get away from the snow and all that and just like it down there.
I was in Florida last weekend and the humindity SUCKED! Come to find out I was told its worse in the Houston area. This true?
Not dead seat on Houston but I want to be around the F-body scene. Heard there are areas around Houston that you can live and not worry about emmisions.
Also want to get back into lawn care in a few years and start my own biz and would rather live in a state that I can do it year round or at least close to year round. Things really slow down around here come October and don't pick up till around late April.
Might be the same down there who knows. Just hate the snow LOL!
What is the taxes like down there? Sales tax up here is 6%.

I think it's slightly more humid in Florida. Just check some weather websites about that.

Humidity is a little worse down here .. heat is about the same .. but the winter is almost non existant, compared to OKC ..

not near as windy down here, either.

Sorry just thought it was funny being that it seems like everyone on here is from Houston or Houston's immediate area..

Good luck on your move man...I read on some list somewhere that the 2 top places to live in Texas are Flower Mound and Sugarland Texas...Google it,you might find it.

But whatever,good luck again bro...

In the houston area, sales tax is anywhere between about 7.5% to 8.5%
Big plus is Texas has no state income tax.

Heat is here, humidity is here, and lawn care is here pretty much year round. Lots of lawns to be taken care of around here... but also lots of mexicans to do said job.

and YAY for no snow!
