Default O2 Sensor: LH and RH Question.

Does anybody know why they sell a LH and a RH side o2 sensor? I don't think I replaced them with side specific sensors. Are they calibrated differently? My LTFTs are adding more to the left and I don't know why. There are NO leaks.

Do catalytic converters still work with performance cams? my cam is a 216/224 113(which is a baby). Could I still pass a smog test if I replaced my cats, or would the excessive overlap kill the cats? Any good advice?

As far as LH/RH, no, there's no difference that I'm aware of. I do know that the C5 used different ones front and rear (pre- and post-cat), because the rear ones use a different heating element due to being too far from the manifolds to heat up a quickly as they need to. A lot of F-body guys are using the rear C5 02 sensors for their front 02's on cars with LT's to avoid some of the heating/insufficient switching codes that get thrown after adding LT's.

I think the reason for the diff part numbers is the length of the wires. Other than wire length, all 4 o2 sensors on the car are the same.

Passing with a cam that small should be no problem with it tuned right. As for lifetime, the cats will be fine. I run the $50 eBay magnaflow cats on my car, cam is 232/234 on 112lsa. I also noticed no drop in performance either.
