243 casting heads..
i have found several sets of these on ebay for around 300 new. these are in fact ls6 heads right? and will they be a good upgrade from the ls1 241 heads?

Link to pics of ported 241's in sig. I spent less than 1100 for machine for work, valves, spring kit assembled. Added new lifters, gaskets, bolts was around 280, then labor fees to install was like 1800. its not cheap to make sure job is done right and with right parts. look to spend close too 2500 or more

1100 + 100 for heads = 1200 bucks... Kinda expensive for a 241 head on your car...
290/192 at what lift?
My ETP 225's flow:
.650" 357/239

243 are a great upgrade depending on what your goals for the car are. I made 401rwhp without much tuning with Stealth II baby cam and 243 with the heavier 01 valves.
If you can get complete LS6 heads for 300 that just require a little bit of cleaning up. I'd have them milled a tiny bit and through them on. Looking at about 500 in heads and gaskets, bolts, fluids etc and a days work. I'm not counting the springs cause I'm assuming your doing a cam anyways.
For a reference point the prc Ls6's are going to be 899 for heads only minus good springs. So your talking about a 600 difference all things being equal.
If those are bare casting then its not such a good deal, might as well buy the PRC's or Patriots Imho. Or the forgetten head in these conversations the Dart 205.

85 per hr and its like 15 hours +-, head, cam, intake, exhaust, tune.
the heads were used 10K miles, cam was used 5K miles, thats savings right there.
