Default Will My Paint Get Damaged If

use something like scratch x on it too much? or any abbrassive for that matter? i keep reading that u need to break down such products so they sand or smooth out the clear coat...so does that mean that after a while of doing this thee clear cpat can be removed or damaged i guess?

Yes, but by the time you are able to cause any damage by hand you won't have any arms left...

You can go through the clear coat if you're using a really abrasive polish and do it often by machine. By hand it would take you quite a while unless you hit an edge often that could wear through quicker. If you're talking wet sanding to get rid of the factory orange peel then you do need to be careful because you can sand through the clear.

Wet sanding makes the car look amazing. Dont sand too much because before you know it there is no clear left. Just go slow.
