What is everyone running on their 15x7.5 rims? Both have a 26" diameter but the 235 is lighter and possibly better suited to the 7.5" rim. Opinions?

The 235 will fit the rim better, that rim is too small for a 275.

Now, you will get 50 guys in here who will tell you they use a 275/50/15 on an 8" rim w/ no problems, and thats fine. I did it for a few weeks myself. But the contact patch was substantially reduced vs. using a 10" rim (which M/T recommends).

I have buddies who have cut some nice 60' times on those 235's, its just that they look so small, especially on an F-body. Hell, after putting 325/50/15's on my car the 275's look TINY!

I'd like to know this as well.

I've heard that the 275/50 will fit, but it 'pooches out' on the sidewalls some. I'd like to know though because I'm in the same boat as you. I'd like to get the larger size tire hoping they'll release the wider convo pro that's intended for use on f-bodies. Use them on the 7.5" wide wheel then sell the 7.5 in favor of the wider if its ever released.

235's on a 15 x 7.5" wheel.
275's on 15 x 9.5's are better

I'd hate to see anyone lose a tire-bead during a burnout.
And with the 275's on a 15 x 7.5" wheel that'll probably happen.
Even more so on the highway at higher speeds.

Why are you running such a narrow 15" rim? The point of 15" rims is usually for drag racing reasons anyways, might as well go 15x8.5 at least.

Or are we talking about front wheels?

I already have Convo Pros up front. I'm looking at the 15x7.5" with 5" backspacing so they don't stick out much.
