Head milling

Head milling I would like to mill my heads so that I can attain about a 11.0:1 Compression Ratio. I'm thinking that I will need to take about 0.1" off of the head. My question is if I do this, will my intake and exhaust valves still stay shut with stock pushrods and stock cam? Also, if I need to get something else, let me know. I'm just doing this because it's cheap, and will get me some easy HP until I can get the heads that I really want. Thanks guys

You'll need shorter pushrods for sure. It would be helpful if you mentioned what kind of car we're talking about. What kind of heads are on the car etc....

honestly you would probably be better off getting a set of slightly used or maybe new 243s.having to buy head gaskets,head bolts,mill the heads,and more p-rods and last but not least all the trouble of a head swap. i don't think you will be gaining alot,maybe 10 hp.i'd save up for a set of heads.

Stock lifters? Probably so, and enought where they picked up the slack.
If you had Morel lifters you'd have to redo the pushrods; they only require .030-.040 to begin with.
