Default LS6 cam-good for turbo?

I posted this over in the internal engine section but I am not getting many opinions in there.....

I am putting a STS turbo kit on my 6 liter. The turbo is a GT67 which I am told is good for about 750 crankshaft hp. Obviously I want to squeeze as much power as I can out of this combo. I have a set of stage 2 heads from ET Performance, and I need a cam recommendation. I really would like to stick with a smooth idle/gas mileage friendly cam. I am thinking LS6 but which one would work best with a turbo....the 2001, or the newer ones?

Are there any other off the shelf cams that would work well with the turbo? TIA.

The newer one would be better with the higher lift and higher LSA for better boost-building. I'm trying to get my hands on an 02+ LS6 cam, harder and harder to find nowadays though!

I was kinda leaning toward the newer one. What sucks is, I had one and I sold it for like $125. Now I am proably going to have to buy a new one again.

Since I have the ported heads, do you guys think the extra lift from a set of 1.8 rockers would help? I know the cost may not be justified and I know the argument.....just get a custom cam......but I like the idea of a factory cam, and I dont mind spending a little $$ for a little gain.

You guys should check the corvette forum for cams too. Probably stand a better chance over there. I am looking myself.
