Default Launch question

With a 3500 Stall Converter, what RPM can I expect to be launching at? What about a 4000 Stall? Another question, when I come up to the light (staging light) with this new converter, would I mash the brake and then bring up te RPM's until just before the tires started to spin and then cram it to the floor to launch? Thanks for the help!!

the stall speed shoud be 3500 so when you launch it should flash to 3500 on a 3500 stall, that would be how i launch and is how most people i know launch but who knows i could be wrong,

With my TCI4000 stall I will hold the brake and give it gas to 1800-2000 rpm and then mat it when it is time to go. I usually cut low to mid 1.5 60ft using this method.

Trial and error at the track with different stalls. Some will launch harder off idle, some at flash and some in between. I try not to load the suspension up to bad on launch though.

Every converter is different as far as where you wil get your best launch at.Mine likes to be launched at around 1500 to 2000rpm.Still messing with my new converter right now to find the sweet spot.Like dan said its all trial and error.Just start low and work your way up.
