Help with leakdown testing
Hello,
I'm having some problems with doing a leakdown test on my car. I'm getting erratic readings, i.e. I've been testing the driver's side bank (1, 3, 5, and 7) and not getting the same reading on a cylinder when I retest it.
What I think this is due to is the adapter I'm using. I bought this kit from Summit:
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku
But I can hear a decent amount of air escaping from around the spark plug hole.
I bought this kit based on some posts I have read here, but I'm wondering if the 14mm adapter is not appropriate for the LS1 heads. FWIW, I'm testing on a set of AFR 205s.
The hose that runs to the adapter has a 1/4 NPT thread, so if anyone can point me to a 14mm adapter that is known to work with these heads I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,
-ch
