Default quick question on the ls6 cam

okay i know there is the 01 model and 02 and up model,but for the the 02 model which i want for my street turbo build ive been reading is has a smaller base so i need longer pushrods is this true?wat will i need for the swap?

im puttin in a z06 cam also... with lq9 heads, i need to knwo also, from what ive heard the heads dont make a difference only the cam
