I thought about doing that as well (would have cost to much for me to do it though).

The only problem with CF is its associated with rice, which is too bad because the stuff is really freaking cool.

If I were you I'd carry the CF theme around the car, I'm pretty sure that RKSport makes CF Z28/SS badges, It would be a subtle little detail that would look cool IMO.

leave the ss portion exposed C/f and then get a berger panel in C/F to tie it in. Would look badass! especially with the emblems and all.

Who makes a full carbon fiber SS hood? I'd like to know weight difference between stock and that. I don't care if idiots call CF rice..I love it and it looks bitchin! It might be RK Sport that also sells a CF grill insert that looks pretty sweet too.

I think that would be sweet, espesially if you left the carbon fiber (unpainted) like a manta stripe. Just my .02

I saw an 03 Cobra with a CF hood painted to match the car and the heat extractor scoops left unpainted and it looked sweet. I think yours would look awesome too.

VFN makes CF hoods and much more in CF. They are a sponsor.

Also, they did something similar on the new CHALLENGER concept and it looks great! Again I say go for it!

The "rice" conotation with CF derives from interior pieces covered in cheap over-lay, not real CF. Also, DO NOT get a fiberglass hood and have it wrapped in CF, which you see a lot. If you want something CF for the weight/strength aspect...get a real CF hood. Otherwise, its gay.

I've seen a black GTO locally that has an 05+ style carbon fiber hood, looks freakin sick! Considering how good that looked, I don't see it looking too bad on a black camaro.

i like the idea. if i didn't have a WS6 hood already, i would have a VFN CF hood and leave the blackbird style in CF. i love the CF look if done right and tastefully.
