Default New Exhaust Idea

I have an idea for a catback i have LT and ORY now with a cutout. I love the sound but it gets a little annoying inside when i have to be slow just so i can hear my GF. I have a flowmaster too but i never cap the coutout which i could but i love the sound..

So i was thinking of getting a rumbler and having the muffler deleted. So it would basically be all pipe from the engine all the way to the back. I may put a muffler in the stock location and have it set up like a borla later on.

So i was wondering if anyone else has done this and any thoughts you guys have.

a guy around here has a supercharged T/A with straight pipes. It is defiantly loud at WOT, and somewhat quiet inside the cabin at idle. Definatly better than a cutout right under your car.

You could even look at the powerstick- its a I pipe that you could use in the middle of the pipes to cut down on the raspyness.

my buddy runs an open y-pipe under the car and its loud as hell.

when i put my exhaust on (magnamouth) i started the car with just the muffler on and it was loud *** hell, when i put the tail-pipes on it quieted the car down quite a bit.

give it a try, just buy the rumbler and go but a long piece of pipe from an auto parts store. if you dont like it, just put the bullet back in

You'll come to appreciate having the ability to drown out the sound of your significant other.

My T/A has the muffler cut off the stock catback

only sounds good at at least 3/4 throttle. WOT lets just call it Nascar.

Basically it serves its purpose to make it louder until I get true duals under the axle with 12 inch bullets.

Aww Paul is all lonely with out me LOL ive just been busy with many things work, school, and family. I can do anything on the weekends if you want to do something i still have not seen your car with my old rims on it. i was thinking about going to the track once the school term is over probably on August 9th so mark your calender.

I want to go out the back with all pipe nothing else and see how it is then make it like a borla if i want to later on. So if you get a loudmouth or a rumbler catback at the shop let me know.

Maybe ill come by on a Friday and see whats new there did Chris ever finish the 67?
