Default A/C Compressor Exploded

So for the past two days my A/C has been working really good. Colder than usual. I'm on my way home from work, a 10 minute drive, 5 of those minutes are sitting at a light. Any way im sitting at the light and get the green.

As soon as I take off I hear a very loud boom followed by a cloud of smoke(r134). I didnt take off faster than normal because there was a couple of cars in front of me. I didnt know what was going on until my A/C stopped blowing cold air.

So does any one have a compressor for cheap???

I had a '98 Formula that all of a sudden suffered a crack to the compressor. I was so pissed.

My new (to me) '99 Z28 is now having a problem where the air is cool, but not cold...so hopefully its just a little low.

Mine popped a nickel sized hole in the bottom of the compressor housing. I didn't notice until (1) it didn't cool any more, and (2) there was a puddle of oil under the nose of the car.
