Default Magic Stick 3 owners -- how drivable in 6th?

I'm interested in manual transmission stock or 3.73:1 rear. Can your cruise at 65-80 in 6th without bucking? Do you get any pickup when you step on it or do you have to downshift?

Thanks, Mike

I have 4.10 gears in my car and I can cruise around town @40 mph in 6th with out any bucking. I only get bucking in the lower gears when I drive in and out of my neighborhood.

When the car's idle is lopey and powerful enough to force the car to move non linearly (if that makes sense). The car moves to the idle / piston / crank movement of the car.

Nope. Its when the car is in gear and it surges, jumps, bucks, jerks, or whatever you want to call it. Has nothing to do with idle out of gear.

Thanks for the replies. It sounds like the first two replies correspond to 1400 RPM and 1100 RPM respectively. I'm plesantly suprised. I just want to make sure I don't loose 6th as a fuel-efficient gear for long highway trips. It sounds like I won't have that issue.

You wont have that issue if you have a competent tuner that can make legit changes in your VE table.

It only bucks if I let it idle in gear. mainly in 1st or 2nd, which allows me to move through my complex nice and slow.
