Default Rocker bolt in intake port.

I was wondereing what people do with the rocker bolt that pokes into the intake port on ported heads.

Leave it hanging into the port, or grind it flush to the intake wall?

I cut the ends off. I used a magic marker to get an idea of where to cut and then grind from there. It took a few tries for each bolt to get it right, but I think it was worth the effort. Keep in mind the intake bolts won't be interchangable afterwards so you should number each bolt with a dremel or something like it.

Mine stuck out about a 1/4 inch, so it's not a huge restriction but a nice free mod

Just be sure to put some sealer on them cause oil will suck down the threads. More than you would ever guess.

Yes they sure can sucka lotta oil. I have had this problem on 2 cars and i didnt do either.
I just bought a 2000t/a with heads cam...etc in sig.

Leave it. Spend your grinder time in the bowl and throat.
