Default Polishing valve covers?

Hey guys...

I got thinkning and I was thinking I might polish my valve covers to give them a better look...

And Ideas what Kind of "pad" I should use?

I have a dremel... but i really don't know where to start....

I was thinking of doing this while I had my motor out to. I think i might start with 400 since there appear to be alot of casting flash and what not,and try it somewhere near the back to see what it does then work my way up unil I can use steel wool and get down to 000 steel wool then a little metal polish. this was just the way I thought of doing it, I've never really tried to polish metal that much before
