pushrods. assembly lube for the cam/pushrods before initial startup. and make sure they've drilled the second hole for the alternator.

I had a 370... that blew up on the dyno. That was FUN Eventually you just get fed up with it and throw down to play with the big boys.

Piece of a broken valve from my stocker (cam installed two teeth off) somehow made it's way into the new 370 via the intake manifold. It got lodged up in there and when i transferred it over to the new engine there was no rattling in it. Then, on the dyno when we took it to almost 7k the vacuum pulled the piece into the #8 cylinder and scarred the wall up. It was already bored .060 over so I was screwed. I salvaged what internals I could and just bit the bullet for the 408.

damn...sucks! im gonna try to clean and inspect everything!! my only concern is my cam. its a f13 and i dont know if its one of the bad batches. I wont know till i pull it out the motor though. gonna see what i can work out with FMS if it is messed up so I dont have to wait weeks for a replacement.

Just make sure you install new front and rear oil diverting plug. Also double check that all dowels are installed.

Dowels are the circular plugs that keep the heads in place.
