Question Question SLP car cover.

After a couple of years with it, my SLP car cover needs to be washed and cleaned, can it be put in a wash machine? what do u think, would it damage it or not? thx.

I used to machine wash mine on cold with little soap, then no heat tumble dry, or air dry.....

I do the same as above and mine has lasted me years and has no wear. I usualy wash it twice a year.

Couldn't you just put it on the car and soap/spray it down? The agitator in a washing machine would make me a bit nervous.

By doing the wash thing while the cover is on the car wont work too well. First you will only be slightly cleaning the outside of the cover and pushing the rest of the dust/dirt into it. Even though the car may sem clean there is still dust that will form under the cover. You would leave the dust under the cover on the soft side.

Certain car covers come with special instructions to wash it, bu none of them say not to wash it in a washer.

That's why you use a front load at a laundrymat cost ~3 dollars.
