Default whining,whinding sound

This sound is noticable, especially when I'm slowing down and the engine isn't as loud. Just got the mods in my sig installed a few days ago. Has anyone had this experience? It didn't make that sound before the mods, so it has to be attributed to one of em. Especially when I'm slowing down it sounds like something is whinding down. There is a faint whining sound most of the time, just not as audible over the engine noise. Is something wrong? What can I do to stop it, because it's aggravating as hell!!

Could be your rear end. How many miles do you have on your car?

its your rear end.....get used to it unless your car was virtually new when you bought it, it made noise then its just that its really faint usually happens around 5th gear or 6th gear cruising speeds...i have a t/a, my buddy has a t/a and my buddies brother has a t/a and my best friend has a ss and his friend has a lt1 camaro, and so on and they all do it.....now i noticed you just got 3.73's the noise of the rear will magnify itself the bigger gear that you get....no sometimes if you get a really amazing gear and have a flawless install it wont be as bad....but when my buddy went to 4.10's it was a huge difference....when your letting off the gas is it jus whinning or is ther clunking...cuz the first time he got it installed the guy didnt line something up right and a ring was off center as well as the spacing between the drive shaft or something crazy....either way your prolly being paranoid.....AS ALL OF US ARE.....so calm down and the only thing id say is run back to the guy that did the gear install and ask him or a good friend that is a mechanic

I had the same problem with my 97 Z28. It is the rear-end, the bearings within the ring and pinion.
