Default Iron block preparation

What kind of work are you guys doing to your turbo 408 iron blocks to make around 700-800hp at the wheels? I was talking to an engine builder and he recommends grouting the block. I'd never heard of anybody doing it on a street setup. I was under the impression the OEM block would be strong enough to make that kind of power. What are your thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

Studs, new align hone and hone the cylinders. Heck, I run the aluminum block at over 800 rwhp with good results!
