Default oil psi at turbo

has anyone mesured what the max oil pressure is that you can have at the turbo?
the reson i ask is i have a lot of oil going by my seals and i want to put a restrictor in the line but i dont wanna go to small

I was told to start at a .060 and work your way smaller if needed.

but has anyone mesured the pressure after they put one in?
cuz im sure if someone has 100psi and another has 60psi with the same .060 there oil pressure will be diffent

Your not going to get any higher oil pressure with a restrictor, the PSI will stay the same, as its regulated buy the spring in the oil pump, it will just flow less volume because of the small hole it has to go through.

Some interesting info from turbonetics:

Q: What size oil inlet and oil drain line sizes should I run for my turbocharger?


A: Turbonetics recommends no larger than a -4 oil inlet line and no smaller than a -10 (1/2") oil drain line. For most street vehicles a -3 (1/8") is ideal and if a -12 line can be accommodated for the drain even better. NOTE: For racing applications and large frame turbochargers ie. Y2K and Thumper units, a -4 is perfect to accommodate the extra oil capacity and pressure that these units are usually faced with.
