pcv valve system
hey guys i have a problem.
i was looking under the hood just being curious and i found some oil on the middle top passenger side valve cover. so there was a soft piece of foam taped to the pcv hose with electrical tape so i cut off the foam and tape and found that the rubber piece that the pcv valve sits in was pretty much broken in half.
so i managed to repair the hose with a few different size hozes in each other and sealed with black permatex and it worked.
but what is bothering me is that all the pics that i have seen[got pics off ls1howto] the pcv valve is by the throttle body and not on top of the pass valve cover.
so whats up with it?

Mine did the same thing. That tube that plugs into the driver side valve cover is probably broken or about to break also. I did the "slip smaller hose into bigger hose to make a bushing" thing like you did. I used some of the hose that I stole from my AIR system, which is just hanging out in my shop.
I actually got tired of it and deleted/plugged the whole sha-bang and now I run a breather.
