Off muffler alone I would say no.

Flowmaster isn't bad muffler only no power gain but tone beats stock.

might pick up a couple. It does flow better, but I wouldn't think its a really noticable difference until you get into higher RPM's & really need the better flowing muffler.

you will probably pick up a few on the dyno. But you wont be able to feel it, unless your ***-o-meter is affected by your ears

I wouldn't get a muffler for power...just for sound!

I was also tired of the rasp that came with the flowmaster at lower rpm's. I heard that the hooker was quieter...

the hooker is quiet, but it's still loud with LTs/ORY - except at idle. I just ditched the Hooker because the internal baffles busted out and rattled around the inside of the muffler...

How long did you have it on the car? What did you go with?

had it on the car for a total of 10 months. 8 months on stock manifolds and 2 with LTs and headers.

went with magnaflow - a bit louder than the hooker and stainless

You must have just got a defective muffler. Mine has been on the car for well over a year. Not a single problem with it either.
