Default Pushrod Length

347 with #317 uncut (lightly surface) heads and an MTI Stealth II cam... Would 7.4" pushrods work? What REALLY affects the length, I have heard of different base circle cams, I do know the stealth II is on an XE profile, but not sure how that would affect pushrod length. Maybe someone could chime in and clear this up for me. I have a set of hardened 7.4" pushrods, need to know if I need something else. Oh btw - I have Harland Sharp 1.7 non adjustable rockers.

The correct way would be to measure it up and buy the exact length. I am guessing with heads that just have a cleanup though that the 7.4's will be darn close. The base circle is slightly smaller, but your heads are shaved(how much??). Interested in seeing your dyno with the 918's, boost, and harland sharps. I would like to see if you get valve float....post up when you get it going.

7.425 would be better.
Stealth II base circle is XE-R and .04x smaller than stock.

I used to run that cam BTW.

Whoops, forgot to change my sig... I sold the 918's and got the patriot gold spring kit from TRT. Thanks for bringing that to my attention! The heads are not going to be shaved at all, I want around 8.7:1 or so with the 6.0l heads, 6.0L MLS gasket and a cleaned up deck with the -8.7cc pistons.

I was going to say with boost, the cam, heavier valves and rockers them 918's would have had their work cut out for them. Dont think the patriots should have any problem though.
