Street Racing & Kill Stories - Cobra (400rwhp @ 3800lbs vs 355rwhp @ 4800lbs = ouch)

So I might have met up with a certain sponsor's employee's Cobra tonight here in Dallas along a road. He had told me previously that he was putting down 400rwhp with just a few EXTREMELY small mods. So I knew I was getting it handed to me, but man ..... it was my worst spankin' yet. He put about 6 lengths on me before I knew what was going on.

replace your doors, hood and anything else that make up the body with carbon fiber. a completely carbon fiber body would shed hundreds of pounds. just don't crash into anything :jest:

get rid of all your accessories. bumpers? who needs them? you're a man, you should know how to not hit anything. airbags? airbags are for pussies. seatbelts? real men stop themselves from flying out the windshield with their face. air conditioning? roll down your windows and stop bitching, woman. an all titanium motor wouldn't hurt either to shed some weight. and who needs carpet anyway? carpet belongs in your wife's livingroom.

Most accessories are still there - but airbags? Its a 1993 truck - no one thought of putting airbags in those back then....so, I'm definitely no pussy if that's what we're judging by.

Though in Texas (Dallas), I don't usually use the A/C unless talking on the cell while driving and do have the windows down. My honey usually doesn't ride in the truck.

Titanium motor? Nah - ceramic V8 is the way to go for weight conservation. Though like the carbon fiber D/S, fenders and hood - don't wreck!!

Funny thing is - they do make carbon fiber hood for 1993 Pickups. I might just get one for grins since they're not much more expensive than fiberglass hoods...need one anyway!!

400 whp is only an exhaust an intake :) My Cobra dyno'd at 404 whp with just those 2 things. Instead of losing the weight Id add more power :)

I have only seen it lost twice. A tt supra that ran 9.9s on street trim.

And a turboed ws6, lol. Damn thing walked that supra like it was sitting still. I think it was a low9 or high 8 second ws6 in full trim. Damn thing was fast.
