Default Corvette mods and more

I'll give you guys a little background on corvette intakes. Basically there are a few intake for the corvette, and most of them are pretty darn expensive ($300+) One in particular, the Honker, is made by Callaway and sells for $400-$500. After looking at it and several others I was like "that looks like an F-body lid they're selling for $400". So tonight I played around with airlids and stuff.

Here's the thread about it:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/corvette-performance/548661-homemade-honker.html

So if anyone has an old aftermarket lid laying around for cheap, I'd be interested in taking it off your hands.

Also while I was at it, I noticed crap in the MAFS. look at the pictures....kinda nasty....probabaly from the filter not being sealed up correctly at some point.....the stock setup is pretty funky the way it fits together.

Anyways, though some of you may be interested in my "stop the corvette tax" campaign

I got an alternative... why don't you drive up here tomorrow after work and have a look at my stock 2004 ZO6 filter assembly. I got it an though I might use it on my conversion... but adapted a halltech instead. The air filter assembly is complete and is the best thing the factory had going before moving to the C6. I'd bet it would be easy to adapt and I'd let you have it for what I got in it... $40.. filter included.

You can convert your LS1 air filter box to a ZO6 filter by just cutting a hole in the assembly similiar to that 1. Nothing spectacular about a ZO6 filter, just that hole. If I were you I'd just bite the bullet and go w/ a Vararam and call it a day. Your waisting your time w/ anything else.
