There is a thread about it the the dyno section. The LG cam is pretty large, I don't know the specs, but its the largest cam they LG makes. They dyno I saw makes more power, and more tq than most of the MS3's.

It made 530/470 with AFR 205s on a 346 2 years ago, it isnt a cam I allow to be mail ordered, and install from us only.

http://www.lgmracing.com/lg140.wmv is a video

I installed it in Magnus' car back last fall, went 9.9x @133 If I recall. Oil starvation from a wheel stand ended that engines life so the real potential of that combo in a good negative DA has never been found.

It has to be alot bigger than the T-rex becuase it requires fly cutting, and it's probably the same size or larger than the Texas giant. But is the LSA a 110? 111? 112? 113? 114?

It doesn't have to be a lot bigger than the Trex to flycut. The TRex is cutting it pretty close as it is. As for not installing a cam because you don't know its specs...

I think that makes sense if it is from an unreputable shop. But look at LG Motorsports. Have you seen a bad product by them? Nope. They make quality pieces that produce great numbers consitently.

I think your choice should be based on your goals for the car. If you want to drive your car everyday without possible surging issues, bucking issues, and super sky high powerband (will you spin 346 to 7800rpms without rod bolts???) then I would go with the MS3. The G5XX would be a great weekend warrior on a built 346 with the proper rear end, stall, gears, suspension and valvetrain mods along with a close enough drive to Lou's shop to get it tuned and retuned and retweaked as needed.

ha. even with rod bolts, odds are you'd frag a rod bearing as the factory wet sump oiling will give up its ghost ~7,500.

this g5xx cam has my attention. appears to have a curve very similar to the x3/4, but makes more hp. i saw the numbers in the dyno section...awesome results with just 90/90. it's a shame i'm poor, i'll just do my custom grind with as cast 243s and be happy.

The G5XX specs are super-secret. Even more so than the G5X4. I believe LGM will tell if you buy it first. These cams do put out some of the best dyno #'s and track times, so I am a fan.
